Meditation is a big part of what we do at the Bleddfa Centre. There are a variety of meditation sessions throughout the year, both in the form of retreats and regular short classes open to all. Bleddfa is ideally suited to meditation practice – it offers a quiet and secluded container, a beautiful landscape, and an atmosphere that somehow contrives to be both calming and spiritually nourishing.
Our regular short classes take place on the first Saturday of each month, 11am – 12:30pm. They are guided meditation sessions, led by experienced meditators Peter Conradi, who has over 25 years experience of leading retreats, and Jim O’Neill, a psychotherapist , both long-term students of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. These sessions are open to anybody, whether it is your first time trying meditation, or if you practise regularly. They are free to attend (a small donation towards the Bleddfa Trust is welcomed).
In a similar vein, Bleddfa Centre volunteer Lee Moore leads a monthly Silence and Stillness session. This is one-hour of exactly what it says on the tin; a powerful and enlightening practice of something that is rarely a part of ones busy life. These sessions take place on the first Friday of each month, 11am – 12pm. These sessions are also free to attend.
No need to book, just turn up. You don’t need to bring anything, just wear comfortable clothing.
