Are there things that are stopping you from living the life you want? Do you want to be more creative? Would you like to develop your inner awareness? Would you like to be more accepting of yourself?
Registered counsellor Elizabeth Halls is running a series of one-day experiential workshops offering time aside from the busy-ness of life to explore different aspects of Focusing in a gentle, relaxed way within a beautiful and inspiring setting.
Elizabeth’s upcoming workshops taking place at the Bleddfa Centre are:
All of Me: Focusing for creative and life blocks
Sunday 8th July 2018, 9:30am – 4pm
£40, includes lunch. Click here for booking form.
Focusing brings awareness to the inner dynamics that often appear to work against us in the things we most desire to do or achieve. We learn to develop our sense of compassionate encounter to the different and sometimes conflicting parts of our self, enabling more acceptance, permission and freedom to live and work creatively.
Here I Am: the Presence Within

Elizabeth Halls is a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. She has taught on the University of Worcester Foundation Degree (Science) in Counselling and the BTEC Diploma in Counselling at Herefordshire Technical College. You can find out more about Elizabeth here.
Elizabeth’s love of Focusing has grown out of her counselling work, and also as it connects for her with a sense of the spiritual in life. ‘Focusing is not so much a technique as a way of being’, she says, ‘A way of reaching and understanding inward thoughts and feelings that go beyond words.’
Focusing was originally developed by Eugene Gendlin, a colleague of Carl Rogers, who wanted to help his counselling clients to access the often unformed ‘felt senses’ of their inner awareness. He realised that when we can do this, freeing, healing and affirming things can happen.
These workshops will be accessible for those new to Focusing and those more experienced, as each will be able to go at their own pace. Most of the work will be individual, with times for sharing and exchanging during breaks and lunch. All are welcome, from all faiths and none. The final two workshops are more specifically oriented around Focusing within spiritual practice.
You do not need any special preparation or materials. Continuing Professional Development certificates of attendance (6 hours) will be available.
